We now have three holiday homes at a distance from each other.
The first is named after Thelma's ancestral home in Southern Ireland "Rathfardon"
the other named after the well known Southern Irish Town famed for Johnny Green's, "Clonroche"
and the newest addition over the top fence called "Top House" .This is the view from there.
Pottsbury Farm is an environmentally friendly five hectares of flora and fauna. Extensive plantings of trees,
many experimental, have attracted a wide variety of birdlife and one can enjoy a peaceful stroll or quiet read in a shady spot.
The Holiday Homes are situated only a few minutes walk from the beach which affords safe, shallow water for children.
There is a wonderful range of coastal walks and near by Kauri Point offers a popular jetty for fishing or swimming.
Other places of interest in the area include the vintage railway at Waihi which takes you into the Karangahake Gorge
and the start of the beautiful walk along the banks of the Ohinemuri River, through the old railway tunnel to see the
gold mining relics of last century. Have lunch at the historic Station cafe, Ohinemuri Winery in the gorge or
Waitete Ice Creamery and cafe.
At Ongare Point the whole of the Coromandel is on your doorstep and the surf beaches at Waihi Beach and the Mount are
only a short drive away.

There are many hot pools near by and the area offers; tramping, good fishing, diving, snorkelling, horse riding, water skiing
and boating trips to Mayor and White Islands. Ongare Point has a boat-launching ramp with water an hour or so either side of high tide.
Six kilometres away, at Tanners Point, there is an all-tide ramp.
Katikati, the Mural Town, a ten-minute drive away, contains probably the
largest collection of wall mural in the country and offers convenient shopping.
Rathfardon and Clonroche facilities:

Clonroche has a dishwasher as well.

There is a gas barbecue and outdoor furniture with each and in summer guests are invited to swim in our pool.
"Top House" is a very spacious four bedroomed modern house with expansive views east over the northern Tauranga Harbour:
three queen sized beds and one with twin beds,
one en suite bathroom,
one large bathroom with bath and shower,
large, well equipped kitchen flowing on to airy dining and living-- with decks off both.

microwave,
dishwasher,
fridge freezer,
TV and DVD.
It has a gas barbecue and outdoor furniture.
Linen supplied with beds made up prior to arrival and towels are supplied.
Kitchens are equipped with a good supply of crockery, cutlery, dishes and implements.
All you need to bring is your milk, food and drinks.
Each home has peaceful orchard views and one wakens to the sound of birds. The extensive
shoreline of the Tauranga harbour and the safe little Ongare Point beach can be
reached in a few minutes amble.
Tariff - effective till March 2011
(Tariff is reviewed on the 1st April each year.)
For Rathfardon and Clonroche:
$100.00 NZ per unit per night for one or two people. $10 for each additional person.
For "Top House"
$150.00 per night for one or two people. $10.00 for each additional person.
